The Loungewear Jumpsuit Your 2021 Wardrobe Needs

Morning everyone, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I’m so excited because today is the day! The most amazing loungewear jumpsuit that I designed with Gibsonlook is officially live on their site and we’re offering 20% OFF your entire purchase with code: HAUTE20. Plus we restocked the “best selling” cozy duster cardigan in the toasted almond color. It sold out so fast when we launched it last October so we decided to bring it back along with a matching jumpsuit to wear as a set. You can see how I styled the duster 12 different ways in this post–> 12 Ways to Style a Cozy Duster Cardigan

MY SIZING AND HEIGHT FOR REFERENCE:

Most people don’t realize how petite I am so and I understand that knowing my sizes can help you determine what size to get.
I am 5 ft and I wear a size 27 in high waisted jeans & smalls in leggings. I’m currently a 34C and take size S in dresses and tops, Medium in sports bras, and XS-S in outerwear. I typically size down in Gibsonlook pieces. I’m wearing an XS in the cardigan and an XXS in the jumpsuit.

Black Ponte Jumpsuit: If you remember the midi dress I designed for the Holiday Glam collection, it’s the same comfy and stretchy fabric.

As always, I had my #hauteofftherack girls in mind when I designed both of these pieces. Each piece is comfortable, flattering and affordable and the duster and black jumpsuit are super versatile for wearing out and about. I’ve worn the duster cardigan with so many different looks (see here) and the black ponte jumpsuit can take you from working at home and your morning coffee run to running errands and lunch with friends. Not to mention the fact that it’s comfortable and durable enough for chasing your kids around in. The jumpsuit will be a year round wardrobe staple for me!

The jumpsuit is offered in sizes XXS-XL and is super stretchy and giving, which is why I recommend sizing down! Also, I designed it with henley style buttons not only because it adds a cute detail, but also because it makes it nursing/pumping friendly! This was an important feature for me because I’m still breastfeeding Beck and it’s so hard to come across cute nursing friendly pieces.

This cozy duster is for the girl who works from home where loungewear is acceptable to the mom who wants to look fashionable without having to sacrifice her comfort. It’s for the the working woman who wants to look stylish, yet appropriate in the office and it’s of course for all the women out there who strive to dress effortlessly chic. Whether she’s at home curled up on the couch, running after her toddler at the park, out for drinks with girls or on a special date night, this duster is the perfect easy accessory that goes with almost every type of look.

Gibsonlook makes the most amazing comfy and cozy loungewear so I enjoy designing pieces in a category that they specialize in. I love how we used two of their signature colors and fabrics so that we could create matching sets with the dusters and jumpsuits. The duster in toasted oatmeal matches the cozy joggers in toasted oatmeal perfectly and same for the grey. I highly recommend adding the matching joggers or jumpsuit to your cart for a cute loungewear set to wear around the house and be sure to take 20% OFF your entire Gibsonlook purchase with code: HAUTE20

Wedding Guest Dress Guide

Is it just me, or do you feel like you attend a wedding, couples shower, engagement party or bridal luncheon every weekend starting in early March and all the way until the end summer? I’m pretty sure I just saw quite a few hands raise through my computer screen. That’s exactly what I suspected, which is why I have put together a Wedding Guest Dress Guide for you! First of all, I am obsessed with all of Yumi Kim’s beautiful prints, and I highly suggest you check out the rest of her collection here–> Yumi Kim Dresses | She has so many stunning options to choose from, but I especially love the Date Night Dress for my petite frame. I’m only 5 ft in case you didn’t already know! Also, I like a lot of color so I paired this dress with bright pink heels and a colorful clutch to really pull out the pink in the print. However, if that’s too much color for you, it looks great with both black and nude ankle strap heels. The black will definitely add a little more edge to the look if that’s what you want to go for and the nude will tone it down.

Just like how you can always count on a little black dress, you can also always depend on a black jumpsuit to keep you looking sophisticated and effortlessly chic. Plus, there are so many different ways to style a black jumpsuit that you can get away with wearing it multiple times in front of the same people.

You can never go wrong with a printed maxi dress!  They’re so easy to dress up and down with the right accessories. You can wear lots of bangles and beaded bracelets with sandals for a casual beach wedding or you can pair your maxi with heels and a fancy clutch for a more formal wedding.

Hi everyone, in case you missed Day 1, Day 2 , Day 3 and Day 4 of our FQ Stylecation, I will fill you in! I teamed up with Krystal of A Pinch of Lovely and Juley of Upperlyne & Co to give you five whole days of New Orleans fashion, food and fun just in time for Mardi Gras! We’ll tell you all of the snazziest places to drink, dine and wine (oh and sleep) in New Orleans.

French Quarter Stylecation:  (noun) /stīl/ + \vā-ˈkā-shən, və-\ = a style guide on what to wear to all of the snazziest places to eat, drink, party and sleep in New Orleans!

I hope you enjoyed our cooking class from Day 4 at the New Orleans School of Cooking! You’ll have to let me know if you attempt the recipe for New Orleans Style Grits and Grillades!

On Day 5 of our French Quarter Stylecation we strolled through Royal Street and eventually made our way to the Bevolo Gas and Electric Lighting show room.  The front of the venue gives off a stunning glow from all of the gas lights that line the exposed brick walls.  I can only imagine how beautiful the venue looks decorated for a wedding or rehearsal dinner! I’m not even engaged yet, but I still keep that idea in the back of my mind. Anyway, in the back of the showroom you can watch the coppersmiths hand-create their famous gas lamps and even learn the history behind Bevolo, which as been around since 1945.

Before dinner, we glammed ourselves up a bit with the help of hairstylist, Courtney Johnson and headed to Dickie Brennan’s Steakhouse on Iberville Street.

We started off the night with some of Dickie Brennan’s specialty cocktails in one of their six private dining rooms. They hid us in a private dining room to avoid us scaring off customers while standing on our chairs to take pictures of the delectable dishes! Speaking of delectable dishes, our Barbecue Shrimp & Grits and Fried P&J Oyster appetizers blew me away! I mean, I’ve eaten fried oysters many of times, but something about that McIlhenny Chipotle Tabasco cream sauce  just does me in!

My fresh and crisp wedge salad did not disappoint!

Anytime Krystal and I dine at Steakhouses, we never order the steak! We actually usually either order the same dish or split our meal. However, Dickie Brennan’s appetizing selection of nightly specials and sides encouraged us try a few new plates. Krystal ordered the osso buco special and sautéed mushrooms and I chose the steamed Maine Lobster and grilled asparagus. I may or may not have eaten the entire Lobster!

Chef Sara delivered our main courses herself along with the help our amazing waiter, Roy.  She even brought us our own paper chef hats to wear. I’m sure you can tell how we felt about that from the expressions on our faces below!

After dinner we enjoyed triple chocolate cake for dessert in the main dining room with Roy so that we could experience both atmospheres of the restaurant.

In case you’re wondering who those random men are in the photo below, they’re exactly that– random men in town for a conference in New Orleans who insisted on joining our dessert photo session. They were were cracking me up with all of their silly pose ideas!

You didn’t think we were going home after dinner on our last night in New Orleans, right? I didn’t think so! Even though we were stuffed from dinner, we knew we couldn’t leave the French Quarter without visiting Pat O’s also known as the Piano Bar for some sweet Hurricanes and a little late night fun on the courtyard.

Hi everyone, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I’m still super sick! I hope I don’t have the flu, but at least I was able to bring you day 4 of my six New Year’s Eve looks! Today, Krystal and I teamed up to show you two ways to wear sequins on New Year’s Eve! I rocked a sequin blazer with a versatile black jumpsuit while Krystal seamlessly pulled off a pair of sequin joggers! My exact jumpsuit is sold out, but I linked to a ton of other great options! I highly recommend investing in a black jumpsuit if you don’t already have one. They’re super versatile and a chic alternative to the little black dress!
