Hi everyone, I hope you’ve all been enjoying the weekend! We’ve been freezing over here in Louisiana, but I’m sure it’s no comparison to the snowy northeast right now. Speaking of snow, seeing everyone in their snow gear yesterday got me all excited for my upcoming ski trip to Breckenridge, CO. This will be my first time to Breckenridge so I’d love to hear your recommendations. I’d also love to hear you cold weather must-haves so I can make sure I’m full prepared to take on the snow!
How To Wear The Cape Blazer
I’m sure that by now you’ve all seen the new cape blazer/coat trend and if you saw my last post featuring the cape blazer, then you know that I refer to it as the “new tailored blazer” with a hint of edgy, chic. The last time I styled the cape blazer it was for a much dressier occasion so today I’m showing how to wear the cape blazer in a more casual-chic way. If you’re going for sophisticated-chic with legging jeans, over the knee boots paired with a satchel is always a good route to take. The over the knee boots complement the sleek vibe of the jeans and allows the cape blazer to do all the talking! Also, when it comes to capes, I find that I prefer bare arms over long sleeves, because I think it looks more slimming that way, but that’s just my personal preference. I’ve seen people style long sleeves beneath capes and it turn out amazing so it’s totally up to how the overall look makes you feel.

Studded Boots + Plaid Bag
Hi everyone, today I’m sharing another one of my looks from my trip to New York this past Fall featuring my Yosi Samra studded boots. See how I styled them here recently–> Camel Cape Coat
I love their sleek back style with a hint of edge from the studs and they pair perfectly with my black ripped skinny jeans. I sort of wear them together on repeat. For this look, I threw in a pop of color with the merlot felt hat and MZ Wallace plaid metro tote, which I’m in love with. The plaid tote is actually the bag we gifted to all of the girls at my ‘Girls Gone Glamping’ event in NYC with MZ Wallace, Yosi Samra and Julie Vos.
