Hi everyone and Happy Sunday! I’m going to share the story behind these photos with you today. It’s really no spectacular story. I guess you might consider it more of an explanation.  I’m willing to bet that I’m not the only one who thinks this, but lately it’s been hard to find things in my closet to wear (other than casual jeans & a plaid shirt) to fit my mood because even though it’s technically still winter, my mind is already on pre-spring mode. I want to wear bright colors and lighter clothing, but it’s obviously still way too cold for that. So when Kaela (my photographer) showed up to my house recently for a blog photo shoot, she of course found me throwing things around in my office/closet and totally unprepared for the shoot!  I decided that due to my lack of outfit inspiration, I’d rather explore Downtown Covington until I felt more inspired. So we did! In case you didn’t catch on, Downtown Covington is where I live.

It was such a beautiful day and during our little venture we came across the lovely English Tea Room. The quaint old patio and bright red telephone booth looked so adorable that I couldn’t help myself and insisted that we pause the exploration to stop for hot tea and freshly baked scones. Our waiter was so sweet and knowledgable about all of the teas. He even remembered what I ordered from one of my previous visits! Hopefully he’ll remember next time too because I already forgot the name of my tea! Haha! Anyway after stopping to enjoy ourselves on that beautiful afternoon, we couldn’t leave the English Tea Room without a little photo opt in the telephone booth! I mean, can you blame me!  If you ever find yourself wandering around Downtown Covington, make sure to stop by for afternoon tea and delicious scones hot out the oven!
