Good Morning readers, how about this cobalt blue Rory Beca fishtail dress!  I think I am in love!  In fact, I love it so much that it’s what I’m wearing tonight for my birthday dinner!   I’m can’t wait for all the birthday festivities to come this weekend.  Also, thanks so much to Abbey Brandon of District Dress Up for this absolutely stunning dress!

A Need for Tweed

Outfit: Bailey 44 Leather & Tweed Dress (Love), The Olivia Loafer heel (Dee Keller),

Jewelry: Single Stone necklace (Brenchley), Classic Pave Link Bracelet (J. Crew), Two-tone watch (Michael Kors), Karma Necklace (Dogeared), David Yurman bracelet and ring

Good Morning readers, how chic is this leather and tweed combo? It’s one of my favorite looks for this fall!  I love how the tweed detail gives the leather dress a more classy and sophisticated look.  Plus, the two different textures look exceptional together. What do you think?

Initially, I styled the dress with a pair of red suede pumps, but then decided on the menswear-inspired heels for an unexpected twist.  Oh, and speaking of heels, don’t ever attempt to climb a train ladder wearing a pair like I did in the picture below.  It will result in a brutally painful accident.  Just trust me on that one!  Anyway, I’m super excited because tomorrow is my birthday so keep an eye out for my birthday outfit post!  Also, make sure to read this week’s issue of Dig magazine to read my article on New York Fashion Week and Mission: Closet Clean-out to prepare your for your fall wardrobe.  There’s even a little DIY project included

Outfit: White jean leggings (J Brand),  French Connection fringe top (Love),  Sea foam wedges (Dee Keller- the Brighton),  Tan leather handbag (Dee Keller)

Jewelry: Karma necklace, Aqua earrings (Rodeo),  Michael Kors watch, beaded wrap bracelet (here), Natural stone ring (Frock Candy),  Gold cuff (vintage),  Joni ringlet (Samanca Jewelry)

Good Morning readers!  Are you not so glad that it’s finally Friday?  Normally, I would be too, but I’ll be working all weekend!  Oh the joy of having TWO jobs!  I hope at least you’re weekend and Mother’s day is nice and relaxing.   Anyway, about this outfit… I really love these sea foam colored wedges and wanted them to be the main focus of the outfit.  I tried to accomplish this by pairing the wedges with all white so the color would stand out.  Also, I wore white jean leggings because I think skinny jeans serve as two arrows leading/pointing directly to your shoes.  What do you think?

Hey everyone, what did you think of my first Cinco de Mayo outfit post today?  I personally love colorful maxis, but maybe it’s a bit much for some of you.  So, here is another outfit that is still fun and festive but with just a little less color.  My favorite part about this outfit is the neon bandeaux beneath the sheer fringe top.  What about you?  Also,  I have to tell you that I am obsessed with the BCBG bandage skirts!  I just love how the skirts smooths out all of your curves while still flattering your figure plus they come in a massive assortment of awesome colors!  If you live in Baton Rouge, make sure to stop by Femme Fatale to pick up a few for yourself!
