Good Morning readers, how about this chic high-low wool vest by Izavel!  Isabel Varella’s fabulous contemporary designs for Fall 2012 absolutely astound me.  Remember when I first featured Izavel’s Fall 2012 collection in The Fall Forecast with Izavel?  I discussed how I styled a leather, lamb skin vest by Izavel with three different outfits, and unsurprisingly the vest added that WOW factor to each ensemble.  I only styled this wool blend vest with one outfit, but guess what!  I only used old articles of clothing and accessories that I found in my closet to style it with.    That just goes to prove that sometimes all you need is one new item of clothing to freshen up your wardrobe and give you a whole new look.

High-low dresses and skirts flourished this summer, but what do you think about high-low vests and sweaters for Fall 2012?  If you ask me, I’d give you a Hell Yes!!! This high-low vest by Izavel adds such a dramatic effect to my black, coated denim and simple blush, lace blouse. When wearing this fashion forward outfit, I carry a classic red patent handbag to tone down the cutting edge style of the vest, yet still capture a bold look.  I also don my Burberry check scarf and calf hair, leopard print booties to mix in some fun, yet classic prints that represent the color palette of the outfit.

When shooting for a more tailored business-like look, I clasp a black stretch belt with gold hardware in front of the vest to accentuate my waist.  However, I only pull the belt through the inside of the vest to allow movement in the back for an effortlessly chic and glamourous look.  That’s where the Business in the Front, Party in the Back title comes into play.

P.S. If you’re in Dallas, Texas during July 29-31st, make time to The Weekender fashion event.  You could possibly meet the ever so talented designer of Izavel, Isabel Varella!

The Fall Forecast: Lambskin Leather Vest by Izavel

Outfit: Emma Wax jeans (DL1961), Nude silk and lace tank (J. Crew old, but similar (here), Lambskin leather vest (Thank you to Izavel), Leopard booties (Gojane old, but similar (here)

Good Morning readers! I don’t know about you, but something about delicate silk and lace paired together with leather just does me in.  I love how the leather toughens up the the sweet dainty lace and gives off that bad girl vs. good girl look.  What do you think?

Did you see when the Izavel lambskin leather vest was first featured in The Fall Forecast with Izavel below?

P.S. I forgot to mention that my best friend Jessica did my hair for these outfit posts.  All she did was was part my hair down the middle and braid back the two different sections diagonally.  Then, she bobby pinned my hair into a huge bun and wrapped the leftover pieces around the bun to hide all of the strays.  She did an excellent job!

Hello everyone, I hope some of you were able to benefit from yesterday’s post (Embellished Laundry + Grad Gifts)  on graduation dresses and gifts.  Please let me know if you have questions about any of those items!  I’ve already gotten a few calls about some of them, and I truly love hearing from you.

Anyway back to this outfit,  black and blue is one of my favorite color combos during the fall and winter.  Well, I missed wearing those two so much that I decided to figure out a way to incorporate those colors into a summer look.  I just feel so sophisticated and put together when wearing that color combo.  What do you think of way I styled it here?  I honestly love it and think the white boyfriend blazer makes this outfit look effortlessly chic and really allows the blue to pop.  Oh and how can I not mention these wedges!  These are probably my favorite Dee Keller shoes because they’re so practical, yet so unique!  I know I’ll get such a good wear out of them because they’re a neutral color, comfortable and just tall enough to wear with my bell bottom jeans.

See how I styled Black and Blue together with Dl1961 coated denim and the same cobalt blouse in the picture below.  Click on the picture to see the actual post.

P.S.  I’ve decided to extend the deadline of the $100 Park Lane Gift Card Giveaway until this Sunday, May 20th at 11:59 p.m. because I feel like I didn’t give you all enough time to enter last week!  So here is another chance for you to win!  Just click the ad below to see how to enter!
