Hi everyone, in case you missed Day 1 and Day 2 of our FQ Stylecation, I will fill you in! I teamed up with Krystal of A Pinch of Lovely and Juley of Upperlyne & Co to give you five whole days of New Orleans fashion, food and fun just in time for Mardi Gras! We’ll tell you all of the best places to drink, dine and wine (oh and sleep) in New Orleans.

French Quarter Stylecation:  (noun) /stīl/ + \vā-ˈkā-shən, və-\ = a style guide on what to wear to all of the snazziest places to eat, drink, party and sleep in New Orleans!

On Day 3 of our French Quarter Stylecation, we lounged around all morning wearing our Niven Morgan bath robes in our beautiful blue and white room overlooking Canal Street at The Saint Hotel. Talk about a much needed luxurious and relaxing morning! After a few cups of coffee, some pillow fights and way too much fun dancing to “Uptown Funk,” Ashley Sievert stopped in to glam up our day.  She also surprised us with her newly released makeup brushes to show us their magic tricks! Ladies, I’m telling you… I don’t know how we’ve gone through life with without Ashley Sievert’s Velvet “Air” brush set! The brushes along with her velvet cream foundation, pressed mineral power and under the eye brightener give you maximum coverage and goddess-like glow. Your face will literally look “air” brushed once you’ve applied her signature makeup with her new brushes!

The best part of Day 3 for me was of course dinner at Beachbum Berry’s Latitude 29 because I’m a foodie, remember? Sometimes I wish I would have started a food blog instead of a fashion blog! Just kidding! But really though! Anyway, these exotic cocktails and Tiki Cuisine dishes were just as amazing and delectable as they look! My top two favorite plates were the Pork Ribs served with rice and mac salad and the Noodle Bowl prepared with cold rice noodles, grilled shiitake mushrooms, young coconut and basil. Latitude 29 is the perfect place to enjoy drinks and small dishes with a group of friends with out feeling stuffed before a night out in the Big Easy! Also, you’ll love the restaurant’s relaxed ambience and cool Island vibes.

After the party, it’s the after party at The Saint Hotel Burgundy Bar!  If you fancy live Jazz music and traditional New Orleans Style, then you will love The Burgundy Bar’s mix of bordello chic and modern decor with a hint of Louis Armstrong. Whether you’re just heading out for the night or slowly making your way back after a wild day in the Quarter, you should absolutely make a pit stop at the Burgundy Bar for one of their signature cocktails. Plus you can’t leave the Crescent City without seeing the most grandiose chandelier (not pictured) that you have ever feasted your eyes on!  Photos of the antique just doesn’t do it justice! You must go and see it for yourself.
