Outfit: Faux Leather Jacket c/o H&M | Clare Vivier Clutch via The Mix | Hudson Skinny Jeans via The Mix | Nine West Blue Suede PumpsKrewe Du Optic Sunnies | Crescent City Tee by TEC

Good Morning readers, what did you think of yesterday’s sleek leather look with District Dress Up? Did you like the fitted dresses with leather detail or is this look more your style?  Today’s black and white look is much more casual with a graphic tee by The Elizabeth Chronicles and a bold pop of color. Speaking of TEC, I can’t wait to show our latest style creation together.  Keep an eye out for a sneak peek on Instagram today! Anyway back to this outfit, I love the way the blue suede pumps complement the leopard print calf hair clutch and the detail on the leather jacket. Mixed prints and textures make for an ultra stylish look.  As for the jeans, these Hudson Krista Super Skinny jeans just might be one of my new favorite pairs of jeans.  Not only do they fit like a glove and have cool zipper details, but they also hit right at the ankle so I don’t have to get them hemmed which is rare for me considering that I’m 5 ft tall!  I just might have to get them in every wash and color!  Are they comfortable you ask? Comfortable is an understatement when it comes to these jeans!  These are the kind of jeans that you’re going to want to put on every morning even when it gets cold outside and you don’t feel like putting on clothes or you just want to wear yoga pants.

Paris Parker Salon Review

This past Monday, Paris Parker salon invited me to their Perkins Rowe location for a complimentary hair and makeup style service, and I was more than willing to accept the invite.  The women at the front desk immediately greeted me upon entering the salon and offered me cold beverage and warm neck pillow while I waited for the stylist to call me in.  About 5 minutes in, my stylist walked over and introduced herself as Alison Smith.  I then followed her to the styling area where we chatted for a while about the look I wanted to achieve.  I explained to her that I always and I do mean always wear my hair down so I wanted to try something different, yet easy and effortless looking that I could maybe replicate myself.  So we decided on a messy fishtail braid, which is a quick and easy fix.  I say quick and easy because it took hair expert Alison all of  6 minutes to do after washing and blowdrying my hair. Speaking of washing and blowdrying, she gave me the best head massage that I’ve experienced in while! To achieve the look, she back combed the crown of my head and brushed my hair over into a dramatic side part.  Then she braided my hair into tight fishtail on the same side as my hair part. After she secured the braid with a pony tail, Alison ran her fingers through the fishtail to loosen up the braid for that messy effortless look. I was more than pleased with Alison’s work and I especially loved how she touched up my makeup with some amber shadow, a nude blush and bright pink lipstick.
