Good Morning readers, when the Emeril Lagasse Foundation asked me if I’d be interested in highlighting the attire for the Emeril Lagasse Foundation’s Boudin, Bourbon & Beer Festival I immediately jumped at the opportunity. It wasn’t until after I agreed that I realized I had no idea what “cajun cocktail” attire meant! Fortunately, I was able to track down some friends who attended the event last year and they told me they wore cowboy boots and dresses.  If you know me, you know that I have never owned a pair of cowboy boots. So I decided to come up with my own version of “cajun cocktail” attire.

If you saw yesterday’s post then you know that I already styled this dress two different ways for the event. To me, “cajun cocktail” attire means fun and casual with a hint of color and some added flair.  For my first outfit, I paired the dress with an olive vest, ankle boots and a hobo style handbag for an effortlessly chic look. For my second look, I went for a fun and edgy vibe with the suede fringe vest and cross body bag in wine. I added the leg warmers for some stylish details to elevate the whole outfit.
