Good Morning everyone!  It’s that time again…. The weekend is almost at its end, but no worries Haute Off The Rack has plenty in store for you this week: Male Fashion Feature: J.R. Garret, Fashion Inspiration Feature: Megan Discon and hopefully some photos of the Bijoutiere jewelry that arrived on Friday.

In reference to the jewelry above, both of those web sites offer a wonderful selection of jewelry.  I absolutely love my monogram necklace and it will be a special piece that I’ll keep forever and pass down to my children.  I also have a simple wish bone and karma necklace that I interchange every so often.  The wish bone necklace was actually given to me as a high school graduation gift from a good friend and I wore it for 3 years straight!  I maybe took it off twice a year.  I think everyone needs one of those simple necklaces you can wear year round that will go with any outfit.

When choosing an everyday necklace try to find one that means something important to you.  For instance, my Karma necklace serves as a reminder that what goes around comes around, which always makes me think twice before I act.  As far as monogram necklaces, I think your name is definitely important you, but you don’t have to use your own initials!  Maybe you have a deceased parent or loved one that you’d like to always remember, or you could use the first letter of you and your two best friends’ first names.  Just choose what is important to you, and you’ll never want to take it off!

P.S.  Please make sure to join my web site with Google Friend Connect and “like” my Haute Off The Rack fan page on Facebook if you haven’t already! Thanks a bunch!!  Enjoy your last day of the weekend!

Good Morning everyone!  I’m so glad it’s Friday already!

As most of you know after reading my last post, Navy Jumpsuit, I’m on a new budget because I just bought a brand new car.  I’m sure I’m not the only full time college student working two jobs to pay for rent, a car note and car insurance.  If you’re one of those people you know it isn’t easy, but I am here to tell you that you can still maintain your style and try new trends while staying in your budget!  For example, this entire outfit excluding the jewelry is from Forever 21.  Sale racks are always a good option as well, but I’m not someone who loves to spend time digging through racks of unorganized clothing.  It’s great if you have the time to do that, but if not or if you’re worried that the item you want will be out of your size by the time it goes on sale then I just suggest registering your email at all your favorite stores.  Yes, I know its a pain to have your email full of advertisement, but you’ll be happy when you receive an email informing you of a flash sale on full priced items at your go-to store!  I rarely ever buy things at full price.  I’m always on the hunt for online promotion codes!

A few other things I want you to know:  I will be changing the layout of my blog soon so you won’t have to scroll down so much!  It will be much easier to navigate.   Also, today is very exciting because the jewelry from Bijoutiere that I told you about on Monday is arriving from California!  I’m so grateful that Donna Guidry and Mary Irwin offered to let me choose pieces from their Spring 2012 collection to feature on my blog!  If you’d like to purchase any of their jewelry featured on my blog, they’ll be offering 35% OFF on those select pieces!!

Here is Sasha Pieterse from Pretty Little Liars wearing Bijoutiere jewelry.

And last but not least, I’m thrilled that I’ll be featuring some male fashion on Haute Off The Rack this upcoming week!

Here is a sneak peek of Male Fashion Feature, J.R. Garrett!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Navy Jumpsuit

Jewelry:  J. Crew,  Banana Republic gold and white cuffs, earrings old similar (here)

Monogram necklace from Love boutique, similar (here)David Yurman ring,

cat eye sunglasses (Urban Outfitters), heatwave lipstick (Nars)

Good morning everyone!  I hope you all had a great weekend.  It was so nice having two extra days off of school and work for the Mardi Gras break!   It was especially nice because I bought a brand new car on Monday.  Although, I can’t say I’m looking forward to paying a car note each month.  Get ready to bargain shop with me because I’m  going to have to budget a little better now!

In reference to the outfit, I feel like navy and black look the best when it comes to jumpsuits.  Not that I am opposed to other colors, but I think navy and black are the most slimming colors for this type of clothing.  I paired this jumpsuit with some gold *Joan and David wedges, gold accessories and some turquoise earrings for a little color.  I also wore Heatwave lipstick by Nars to contrast with the navy.  The material of the jumpsuit is so light and breezy which is perfect for spring weather in Louisiana or anywhere for that matter.

I love the detail on the shoulder on this particular jumpsuit from Love boutique in Baton Rouge.  Love offers such a great selection of shoes, apparel and accessories for girls in their teens as well as women!  I make frequent visits to Love whether I’m shopping for an outfit for a special occasion or if I just want to update my wardrobe.   If I can’t find the time to stop in I can still see their most recent arrivals on their facebook page.  They update their page daily to inform everyone of new shipments and I always see something I love!

If you want to achieve this look try one of the jumpsuits below from ASOS!

Fashion Forward Monday

 Photos by: Max Zoghbi

Outfit: Tan dress (Mackage),  color block heels (Boutique 9),  black clutch (Chanel)

Jewelry: Monogram necklace, J. Crew,  Banana Republic,  Michael Kors

Shanghai Express lipstick (Nars)

Happy President’s Day!

I think the shoulder pads and removable peplum around the waist make this Mackage dress look super fashion forward, and it goes perfect with these Boutique 9 color block heels!  I actually got the both of these items from Park Lane boutique where I work!  Park Lane carries such great one of a kind pieces like clothing from Mackage as well as gowns from Theia, Dee Keller shoes, Elizabeth and James apparel and so much more!

On another note,  I’m really excited because jewelry designers, Donna Guidry and Mary out of Los Angeles, California are sending me a few pieces from their new Spring collection to feature on my blog!  They’re line is called  Bijoutiere and they have designed jewelry for actresses Sasha Pieterse from Pretty Little Liars, Kirsten Storms for Runway magazine and a many other celebs.  Needless to say, I can’t wait to show you their pieces!

I hope you enjoyed this post and have a wonderful day!

Here are a few other fashion forward pieces by Mackage:

P.S.  Mackage is a tad pricey, but the dress I’m wearing above is 50% OFF today as well as a ton of other items on their web site!
